Description –
A Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) enables optical or copper cables to connect motherboards of network devices such as switches and routers for data transmission over an extended distance. 1.25Gbps Tx:1310nm/Rx:1490nm 40km BIDI SFP Optical Transceiver Module for Gigabit Ethernet and Optcore’s hot-pluggable SFP transceiver module specifically for duplex optical data communications such as 1000BASE-BX Gigabit Ethernet per Fiber Channel extended reach application. This SFP module provides 40km transmission distance over a single strand of single-mode fiber. Compared with commonly used dual fiber SFP transceiver modules, this SFP transceiver allows end users to reduce the total cost on fiber cabling infrastructure by requiring half of the fiber cables, providing increased transmission capacity very convenient without installing new fibers. The transmitter section uses a 1310nm laser that is a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard The receiver section uses a high-speed 1490nm integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA).
